The biblical source is a story of a family member who squanders away money/status/family for selfish reasons, but then finds welcome and forgiveness at home. All the storylines in this episode followed the same pattern. Whose was most satisfying; whose was least effective?

Ali (Miles' sister) and Susan (Cara's mother) both talk about the transition from idolizing someone to realizing their humanness. Miles put Uncle T on a pedestal. Cara thought of her father as her hero. How does the relationship change after knowing someone's flaws?
